For Richa Sharma creating music was never an alien thing. Her musical sensibility developed at a very young age through the chants of Mantras and Bhajans in her home. Under the tutelage of Pandit Aaskaran Sharma, Richa went on to get proper training in Indian classical music and later added ghazals, film songs, Punjabi and Rajasthani folk songs to her repertoire. Richa landed in Mumbai in 1994, her big hit coming in the form of Taal where she sang for A.R. Rahman. Her albums have brought out the classiness and grace in her voice and her variety as a singer.
